Friday Faith Folk Challenge: I'm so thankful that John is well enough to help me with the shop since my injury. I plan on serving Christ tomorrow by serving John and also reaching out to others with His love. I'm thankful that we can post on the internet without the fear of arrest in America. It is not the same in China. Pray for persecuted Christians there. As you watch the Olympics let it be a reminder to faithfully pray for our sisters and brothers "in chains".
Blessings,
Pam

I am thankful for so many things today. My health has improved the past couple of days. My cousin Sally, who many have been praying for, is improving from her stroke a little bit every day.

I plan on serving Him tomorrow by serving my family. Because I live with MS, keeping my home in order is difficult at times. This weekend is a time for reclaiming some order. God has blessed me with an improvement in my health, and I want to share that with my family. I also hope that by pursuing the dreams that have been placed in my heart, I will honor God.

Blessings!

OK, I'm late...it's not Friday...
But I will still share a few things I am grateful for...

I am grateful for STRUGGLES as they often stretch me, bend me, and break me down to point of surrender where I realize my absolute NEED FOR CHRIST.

I am grateful for my CHILDREN in a billion different ways...but they make me be BETTER THAN I WOULD BE without them...so many times when I am tempted to go down the wrong path, I think of how my children need me and turn around.

I will serve them today by being more present and make sure they know how much I love them.

Hallelujah!

Today I'm thankful that God is a craftsman, a builder, a DIY guy - Especially that I don't have to do it all myself - that as a master craftsman, He teaches and finishes! Tomorrow I plan on serving Him by honoring His sabbath, staying away from the work that sometimes stirs me, resting my body and my thoughts. Blessings... Polly

Im thankful for my son...such a wonderful human being. I'm also thankful for my job although it can be a real burnout. How I serve him? In spite of the fact that nursing can be an easy burnout...I continue to care for my patients. I dont just mean reading their heart monitor or calling their doctor in the middle of the night or cleaning up the diarrhea bed linens...that part of the jobs easy burnout....Im talking about emotional and spiritual caring. I comfort..encourage..pray..listen..hug...back rub...smile ...cry...rejoice ...and take time for my patients and their families. This is the more difficult part of the job and the part that not many nurses can or care to do anymore. I dont pat myself on the back for this because it is God who put this nurturing spirit for my down and ill brother/sister in my spirit.I have the gift of showing compassion. As many times as I have thought to quit nursing and head in another direction and as harding as this type of caring can be....I continue t do it because I believe God has built me for the purpose...to care for others and rely on him to fill mr back up so that I may continue to give out. I see myself as his vessel for caring. He works through me. This is how I serve Him.

I am thankful for finding what will hopefully be my new Church home. . .I am thankful for having a company car with the prices of gas as high as they are . . . I am thankful that God continues to help me with raising my 16 year old son.

This coming week is my first day back at work since I went on vacation August 1st. It is also my first day back in my office since the end of February!

I am going to serve the Lord by showing him I will try to have more patience with the people I work with and hold my tongue better.

I am thankful for God’s amazing faithfulness. He chose someone like me, a broken vessel and pour in so many blessings.
I am also thankful for my awesome husband and my sweet little girls.
I serve God by following his guidance. Sometimes He wants me to help others in a sacrificial way, dying to myself and my desires and sometimes He just wants me to sit at His feet and hung out with Him.

I am thankful for the blessing of nature and how it refreshes my soul when I spend time there. I am thankful for a God who forgives all sin and has opened himself up to us all by giving us our precious Jesus as an example of what true love is...
I will honor Him by allowing His Holy Spirit to dwell in me that I might also have a forgiving heart and share the love He has freely given to me.

I am thankful that in these hard times, I am able to live my dreams with the help and encouragement of my husband and family, and that I am blessed with the most wonderful, healthy, amazing and dramatic little girl. Being her mother and my husband's wife has been a wonderful journey that I wouldnt trade for anything.

It's Tuesday and not Friday but I am thankful for my friend sending me an article. It was a short one talking about Grace. Here is a quote from the article;
"having kids unveils
the real you. Before I had kids I was patient,
kind, magnanimous and upright. After
kids I discovered I was selfish, petty and
downright ugly."

Oh I am thankful for God's Grace in my life, especially in raising my children. I am thankful for my friend to share this with me today.

Tomorrow, I will try (windows being installed) and start to be still and let the Lord use His Grace to heal my heart. To serve my family with the Love God has given me to give them.

Yay, I found it Pam!! I am just overflowing with thankfulness right now, I could shout it out loud and I owe it all to the Lord! One thing in particular is that God is blessing my hubby and I with a baby, a prayed for and hoped for little one is on the way and we couldnt be happier or more thankful for the miracle of life.

One way I will be serving the Lord beginning tomorrow is that my hubby and I are transitioning with church things and will begin a new bible study in a couple weeks, Lord willing!! We are presenting it tomorrow!!

I love this challenge! I'm really late posting, but I'm thankful that my kitty is doing better this week. I found out last Friday that my cat that I've had for 13 years is terminally ill. It was quite a shock and very unexpected. Now we have to make some tough decisions.

I plan to serve Him tomorrow by serving my family. I've got a little over a week before my daughter goes back to preschool and hope I can find some fun and special things for us to do together as the summer comes to a close. :)
